I am a trained professional Postpartum Doula who can support new mothers and their families after childbirth. As a postpartum doula I can assist with baby care, provide breastfeeding and feeding support, do household tasks, and provide emotional support.
Since having my own children I have become very aware of how little support is available to families with little ones. I have had one hospital birth and two home water births. All three of the births were different and I had three very different postpartum experiences. The postpartum period is equally as important as the first 3 trimesters and knowing I can provide care and support during this time is very rewarding. I pride myself on being able to provide evidence-based resources to my clients on such things as breastfeeding and postpartum care. I feel a great sense of responsibility when a family places their trust in me and I do not take that role lightly. My goal as a doula is to help foster an inclusive and safe environment for those that I support through listening, encouragement and knowledge.
**I am not a medical provider and therefore do not provide medical advice. I can, however, listen to your concerns and help you to make the best decision for your family with the help of your doctor**
